Spiced haloumi

  • 250g Haloumi, cut into six 10cm lengths

  • 60ml (1/4 cup) Hampton Hives honey

  • 1 lime (or lemon), juiced

  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Thread haloumi lengthways onto soaked bamboo skewers. Spray with olive oil. Preheat a barbecue grill or chargrill on medium. Cook haloumi, turning every minute, for 4 minutes or until charred and tender. 

  • Meanwhile, place the honey in a small microwave-safe bowl. Heat in microwave on high for 15 seconds or until honey is warm and runny. Whisk in the lime juice. 

  • Transfer the haloumi to a platter. Drizzle over the honey mixture. Combine the paprika and cinnamon in a bowl. Sprinkle over the haloumi. Its Yumm and will be gone in seconds! (Recipe thanks to Louise Pickford and Jeremy Simons.)
