Prosciutto, Fresh Figs

Full Recipe in Details

  • 4-8 figs

  • 4 slices quality Parma ham or prosciutto

  • buffalo mozzarella (any good smelly cheese or even a feta will do)

  • 1 bunch fresh basil (and other salad leaves if you like)

  • 6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • sea salt to taste

  • freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • I love this salad. Apart from being a great combination, it always seems unbelievably effortless, which is always the best kind of recipe. Simply combine the figs, prosciutto, leaves and cheese and drizzle generously with the sweet lemon and honey dressing.

  • Have some warm Ciabatta slices on hand to mop up the juices after the plate is clean (it will be!)
